Learning Objectives and Overall Goals

Review and disseminate the latest knowledge about advances in diagnosis and treatment of cardiometabolic disease
Understand causes and mechanisms of obesity and decide on medical or surgical intervention
Assess and manage atherosclerosis, based on risk scores, imaging modalities and lipid profiles
Screen for and diagnose phenotypes of diabetes and define treatment targets according to ESC Guidelines and foster diagnostic decisions and management of chronic kidney disease
Diagnose metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD) and endocrine disorders and review updated evidence-based approach to medical management of heart failure and selected comorbidities
